Sand, it strikes fear into riders' hearts!
The course
This course in an introduction to sand or suitable for those who would like to refresh on the basics of sand riding skills to gain more confidence when faced with this tricky terrain.
The course will suit any off-road bike, from small dirtbikes through to large adventure bikes.
The EOW philosophy
EOW courses focus on inclusion, and are open to all genders and levels of experience. Skills are best built incrementally, in safe, controlled and supportive environments, not by being thrown in the deep end. Learning should be a fun, enjoyable process and should leave us feeling confident and inspired to keep developing as riders.
Why sand?
There is nothing that saps your energy and enjoyment more than having to paddle through a large section of dry-season sand, or fighting the bike every step of the way. With the right skills it is possible to stop avoiding sand and confidently "feet-up" blast though the longest sandy sections on your adventures - or even travel further afield in NT (or beyond) and explore the breath-taking sandy terrain that the Australian outback has to offer. It all starts with skills and confidence.
